Xledger

File format

Xledger support two types of file formats, both of these are available in Moment.

AR10

This is a format that is widely used by multiple accounting systems, also known as Mamut format. This supports the basic needs of most invoice exports.

GL02b

This is an Xledger format, specifically used in Xledger for accounting transactions. Has support for more data, but in Moment they aren't that much different. Read below about the differences.

Difference

There is only a slight difference between the two formats in Moment. These are:

  • Added support for currency

  • Added support to define ledger account for customers

Export configuration

To activate and configure an Xledger export navigate to Setup > Settings > Integrations. Click on the "Export to file" toggle button.

Click on the "New integration" button, in the dialog that appear search for "Xledger"

Select the format you would like to use. Below is an explanation of the common part, read more about any specific settings that can be defined for each of the formats.

Common

Common for both formats are these fields

  • Department Used to define how department should be included or not.

  • Default invoice issue date limit Select what should show up in notification as ready to be transferred. The options are:

    • Up to and include last day of previous month Choose this option if you invoice on a monthly basis and want to transfer only invoices for the previous month/earlier.

    • Current date Choose this option if you invoice when needed and would like to transfer all up until today.

    • No limitations on date (everything that hasn't been exported yet) Choose this option if you invoice when needed and would like to transfer all that has not yet been transferred, no matter what date the invoice have (future/past)

  • Send data to Select how you want the exported file to be delivered. The options are:

    • Download folder Choose this when the file should be downloaded locally. The file can then be imported into Xledger manually.

    • Email Choose this method when the file should automatically sent to an email address. This can be useful if your Xledger provider has set up an automatic method to import data. Ask for their email address and configuration requirements.

    • FTP/FTPS Choose this method to have your file uploaded to a FTP/SFTP server. Configure the required fields.

    • HTTP/HTTPS Choose this method to have your file transferred to a HTTP/HTTPS endpoint. Configure the required fields.
