"Planned absence" is a useful tool to see what absences have been registered in Moment by your colleagues. In practical terms, this means that you will be able to see who will be available for work during certain periods. This is useful in these times where many people work from home and are not able to get a hold of colleagues, or during extended holiday periods

This page does not show detailed information about the reason for the absences, only the duration and date. In other words, there is no sensitive personal information shared.

In the picture above you will be able to see the details for one specific absence. In this case, a co-worker has been furloughed, hence the long absence.
