According to ISO 9001, chapter 7.2 The organization must:

1. Determine the competence needed .

2. Ensure that these people have competence acquired through appropriate education, training or experience.

3. Where applicable; take action to acquire the necessary skills and evaluate the impact of it.

4. Keep relevant documented information as evidence of competence.

Competence requirements described in SAK10, chapter 11

In the “declaration of responsibility”, the enterprise shall certify that professional management meets the requirements for relevant education and practice. The organization must utilize personnel with the necessary and relevant qualifications to conduct the appropriate action in a reasonable manner so that requirements is taken care of. Upon supervision, the enterprise shall document that professional management meets the requirements for education and practice.
